FINALLY
started on this way back in the autumn of 2007.
can't say how relieved I am to finally have it finished.
This was painted as a school assignment, the task was to paint a paraphrase of a well known painting.
I'm aware of that American Gothic is probably one of the most paraphrased and caricatured paintings in America, but in Sweden few people has ever seen it. Not even my art teacher knew of the painting! AN OUTRAGE.
also, this is HUGE, probably the largest painting I've ever done. so yeah, this is of course a photo, so the colors and details aren't as good as I'd wish them to be.
Will most likely be up for sale at the art show that we will have in May.

read an ol' Kamratposten today and there was an article about you and your paintings in it and a link to your deviantart-page. So here I am, commenting, and I must say that you are very talented and productive… I like to draw and paint aswell, but i never get on and do it.
